Beach makeup

Hitting the beach is the ultimate summertime activity for many of us. Unfortunately, it can be problematic when it comes to your makeup. While enjoying the heat, dips in the ocean, and all-around freedom, the last thing you’ll want to worry about is patchy, melting makeup. On a casual summer day, create an effortless look with stay-put makeup. Here are a few tips for looking your best under the glare of both the sun and onlookers:
Before you begin to apply any makeup, make sure you apply a reasonable layer of sunscreen. You can also resort to a moisturizer that contains sunscreen, but try to find one with an SPF factor of at least 15. For summer weather, you should skip the foundation, it can turn greasy and blotchy in a matter of hours, and would eventually just melt off anyway. In addition, if you want a natural tan look, wear a shimmer-free bronzer that suits your shade.
Beach makeup should be light and sheer. Start with a light blush that doesn’t blotch. The limited edition Nars Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo can help you create that summertime glow. When it comes to your eyes, only mascara is essential. Most waterproof makeup ends up looking pasty, with waterproof mascara as the exception. Pulse Perfection Vibrating Waterproof Mascara by Maybelline is a good smudge-free choice. To finish off, use a natural colored lip-stain or gloss for your lips.
There is no need to spend hours in front of the mirror applying a full heavy load of makeup that’s just going to fade and blotch. However, if you do feel like you’re getting sweaty or that your makeup is starting to clump, dab your face with blotting sheets.
With these easy tricks, your natural look will reflect the breezy and beautiful aura of the beach on a warm summer’s day.
